Nooga Nannies is a caregiver referral agency, which means we don't actually hire our caregivers, we just recommend them to families.  When we think you would be a great match for a family, we send them your information and set up a time for you to meet them.  From there, the family handles hiring and becomes your employer.  But don't worry; Nooga Nannies will be there to guide you during the whole process.  We will also continue to support you as you journey through your employment and grow as a professional caregiver.

Responsibilities of a Caregiver

  • Sole charge of child(ren)
  • Assistant to parents
  • Monitor and attend to the physical, social, and emotion needs of child(ren)
  • Stimulate and engage child(ren) with planned and meaningful activities
  • Transport child(ren)
  • Facilitate play time
  • Light housework
  • Meal preparation for children

Qualifications of Caregivers

Nooga Nannies takes pride in offering loving, energetic, and quality caregivers to families in the Chattanooga region.  We require that our caregivers meet the following qualifications:

  • 18 years or older
  • eager and willing to work with children
  • willing to coordinate fun learning opportunities
  • reliable form of transportation
  • pass a criminal background check
  • 3 previous childcare experiences
  • 3 character references
  • professional manner
  • caring
  • loving
  • nurturing
  • mature
  • enthusiastic
  • responsible
  • aware of the seriousness of your responsibility
  • commitment
  • good work ethic
  • natural affinity for children
  • first aid and cpr certification is not required, though it is highly recommended
